Is There a Limit on How Many Dinos a Trough Can Feed
Feed from one and see what did not get fed
range is 9 foundations wide
and up down ? is there a limit?

If I were to guess, probably around 9 walls high. Put food in one only and test how far it goes. Also it appears to be a cube distance, not a sphere, so corners shouldn't be a problem.
i put 4 down at my base, had a rather large base surrounded by walls....i put down 10 fence foundations in the ground, extending out from the troughs, so that i could know its distance....(its roughly 10, not 9, if you count end to end.)

Yah I have 6 scattered around my base. I simply check to see if the contents drop dramitically at first and then take a poll of my Dino's food meters to make sure everyone is getting food from where they are usually parked in the base area.
If my friend keeps his animals in my stable, will they eat from my trough? i don't think so. how can he feed them? does he has to place the food in each animals inventory? thank you

All animals will eat from a trough owned by their owner/tribe. I believe allied tribes also allow animals to eat out of each other's troughs.
I'm not sure if he'd be able to place a trough of his own within feeding range of his animals, but outside of the "enemy foundation" zone.
ok thank you. he might be able to do so but maybe its just easier to feed them individually? i never tried but do they eat out of their inventory, if he places the food in each animals inventory?

Yes, they will eat from their own inventories as well. If there's only a few animals, this is probably easiest.
They also don't eat a lot when they are just standing around, and even less when nobody's online nearby. Unless they are very low levels with small food numbers, you should be able to go days between feedings easily.

Thats how the game originally was in the beginning. Dont you notice your mounted dino eats when you travel around? Big yellow message above your screen of a berry or meat being eaten.
Its 20 up and 20 down +/- or so. We built our egg farm 18Wx18Lx40H Have a couple hundred dino's in there droping all the eggs to the floor. Its feed by 1 feeding trough.

ok, so he might build one outside of my 'no building" zone which still might feed them.
